An Owen Locke scholarship will fund tuition, school fees and books for eligible applicants. Applications for this scholarship will be accepted from High School graduates of California who will be attending an accredited college, university, trade school or vocational program (in California or elsewhere).

Scholarships are distributed on behalf of the applicant to any accredited college, university or vocational program in an amount not to exceed $10,000 per year.

A student may submit an additional application in a future year and such application would be evaluated against the other applicants submitted in that given year.

Priorities for selection:

  1. High School Graduate (or equivalent GED) of California.
  2. Limited financial resources available for school but who are not eligible to be awarded funds from public or government agencies.
  3. Most individual career goals and aspirations will be considered. Proposed education must be at an accredited college, university, trade school or vocational program.
  4. Deadlines:
    • Fall 2011 application deadline is June 30, 2011
    • Spring 2012 application deadline is November 30, 2011
